What should I check before ordering custom tracksuits or night suits in bulk?

What should I check before ordering custom tracksuits or night suits in bulk?

Tracksuits and night suits are both sold as sets, so judge them as sets: the jacket must match the jogger, and the night top must match the bottoms, in colour, feel and wash behaviour. Five checks cover almost every failed bulk order in these categories.

First, fabric honesty. Tracksuits (track suit sets) run in brushed-back fleece and french terry for warmth, or cotton-poly and synthetic blends for lighter activewear. Night suits, pyjama sets and loungewear want soft combed cotton and cotton-poly blends chosen for breathability and wash stability. Ask for the exact fabric by name, not just soft or premium.

Second, movement and comfort testing. A tracksuit is judged as a moving garment: zip operation, cuff recovery and seam strength matter more than how it folds. Nightwear is judged after five washes: no twist, no fade, no hardened seams. Approve these on the physical sample, never on photos.

Third, fit blocks before bulk. Measurement blocks should be agreed at the fit-sample stage and applied across the graded range before a single bulk unit is cut. Bottoms carry the most measurement risk in any range, and sets double it.

Fourth, branding placement. Embroidery, print and applique for clubs, gyms and labels is applied before final assembly, positioned to your artwork standard on both halves of the set.

Fifth, set economics. The jacket and jogger, or the top and bottoms, count together as one set against the 100 to 500 piece MOQ. Standard production runs 30 to 60 days with repeats at 15 to 25 days from our facility at Property No. 73, Industrial Area A, Ludhiana, Punjab 141003, dispatched across India and to export markets in the Middle East, Europe and North America.

Send the tech pack or a reference set and ask for feasibility, MOQ and lead time together.

How much does it cost to manufacture co-ord sets in India?

How much does it cost to manufacture co-ord sets in India?

Nobody can quote a co-ord set honestly from a photo alone, because you are costing two garments developed as one outfit. But the cost structure is predictable, so here is how manufacturers build the number and how to get an exact quote.

Fabric is the biggest share. Co-ord tops and bottoms are cut from the same sourced lot in cotton, linen, fleece or french terry, plus cotton-poly and synthetic blends, so the set reads as one outfit in colour, wash and hand feel. Single-lot sourcing from the Ludhiana and Amritsar mill network is what keeps that match affordable.

You are paying for two garments. A shirt plus trousers, or a top plus shorts or skirt, means two patterns, two sewing sequences and one joint quality check. Quotes that look suspiciously cheap have usually costed only the top.

Construction details move the needle next. Print and embroidery placed consistently across both halves, plus trims and finishing, are applied before final assembly and priced per placement.

Sampling is amortised, not free. Proto, fit and pre-production rounds are real work, so small runs carry a higher per-set sampling share. Ordering at 100 to 500 pieces, the standard private label MOQ band, spreads that fixed cost sensibly.

Lead time is 30 to 60 days for a first order and 15 to 25 days for repeats once fabric and spec are set. Deadline-driven event sets should be scheduled backwards from the date.

To get an exact number, send the tech pack or measurements plus a reference for fabric and artwork, and ask for feasibility, MOQ and lead time in one reply. That is the only quote worth comparing.

How do I compare garment manufacturers in Ludhiana before placing a bulk order?

How do I compare garment manufacturers in Ludhiana before placing a bulk order?

Ludhiana makes comparison shopping easy and misleading at the same time: dozens of factories quote against the same enquiry, but their quotes assume very different ways of working. Score every shortlisted manufacturer on the same six checks before you commit.

1. MOQ fit. Ask for the minimum in writing, per product type. Celebstitch works at 100 to 500 pieces depending on construction complexity, which suits new labels and test runs. A factory tooled for 10,000-piece export runs will price your 300-piece private label t-shirt order as a favour, not a programme, and it shows in attention.

2. Sampling rounds. The standard sequence is proto sample, then fit sample, then pre-production sample, each approved by you before bulk cutting begins. If a factory offers to skip straight to bulk from a reference photo, you are absorbing all the fit risk.

3. Fabric source. Ask which mills supply the fabric. Production inside the Ludhiana and Amritsar mill network cuts material costs by roughly 20 to 30 percent and delivery lead times by 7 to 14 days versus manufacturing in another city, because the cloth does not travel.

4. Two lead times, not one. Get the first-order time and the repeat-order time separately. The honest shape is 30 to 60 days for a standard first order and 15 to 25 days for repeat orders once fabric and specifications are already established. A single vague number usually means the repeat time.

5. Reorder consistency. Ask how a reorder months later is matched to the first delivery. The answer you want is a fixed specification reused batch to batch, so term-two matches term-one.

6. Private label scope. Confirm one partner runs tech pack development, sourcing, sampling, production, inspection, labelling and packing to dispatch, instead of a chain of middlemen each blaming the last.

Put the answers in a simple table, one row per factory, and the right partner is usually obvious. Share your tech pack, sample or reference image and ask for feasibility, MOQ and lead time in the same reply.
